Providing spectacular views of Victoria’s Yarra Valley, the Cathedral Range State Park offers a variety of walking tracks ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging. The range itself is a spectacular seven kilometre-long ridge of sharply upturned sedimentary rock. With spectacular peaks and sparkling mountain streams, Cathedral Range is the perfect place to introduce kids to the joys of bush walking and camping. The rugged beauty of the landscape was striking and powerful, the walk to the summit challenging but well worth the effort – the breathtaking view is testament to this.

Camping is available throughout the park at The Farmyard, Ned’s Gully and at Cooks’ Mill. Camping fees do apply and a permit is required. Advanced bookings and payment are also required. Fees no longer apply for The Farmyard campsite – keep in mind that this site is only accessible for hikers. Parks Victoria advises that you do not camp under tree limbs.

This looks spectacular – I have lived in the Yarra Valley all my life and never been there. After watching the video you have inspired me to visit.
