Paul Grabowsky will be appearing at the Montrose Town Centre on Saturday 24 May at 8pm.
A remarkably accomplished pianist and composer, and an articulate and imaginative improviser, Paul is one of the major figures in Australian jazz, while his scores have featured in films for the likes of Fred Schepisi, Gillian Armstrong and Nadia Tass.
As founder of the Australian Art Orchestra, Paul records and performs internationally and has collaborated with such iconic artists as Dewey Redman, Steve Lacy, Johnny Griffin, Han Bennink, Bernie McGann, Paul Kelly and Allan Browne. In the process he has become a multiple ARIA, AFI and Helpmann award winner, receiving the Sidney Myer Performing Artist of the Year Award and Melbourne Prize for Music.
