Described as Gruyere’s ‘hidden gem’, Hanrahan Vineyard is situated amongst picturesque, rolling hills just an hours’ drive from Melbourne.

The vineyard is a family-owned and operated business – your friendly hosts will not only serve you wine but also tell you all about it. They are involved with the entire process, from picking the grapes to serving the wine to you.

Hanrahan also offers affordable wine tastings, often accompanied by their ‘Cheese and its Mates’ platter.

Only $30 for two, it’s some of the best value available, and allows you to taste local cheeses from Coldstream Dairy. If you can’t make it to the vineyard itself for a tasting, Hanrahan offers a home wine delivery service. But be warned – it’ll go quickly!

They also offer something a little more unique – a ‘Reverse BYO’. Basically, if you provide your own food (and picnic blanket), they will supply the wine. Groups of 10 or more by appointment only.
